Nicholas Pooran of the Lucknow Super Giants altered the momentum of the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore with a whirlwind half-century, smashing a 15-ball half-century to set the record for the quickest fifty of the IPL 2023.
LSG were reduced to 105/5 in 11.1 overs while chasing a massive 213-run mark, but Pooran came out all guns blazing and started ripping RCB bowlers to the cleaners from the outset.
During his fifty, Pooran smashed six sixes and three fours. His fifty is also the second quickest in Indian Premier League history.
