KKR removed head coach Brendon McCullum, brings in the new domestic face

The eminent IPL franchise Kolkata knight riders has freshly announced the appointment of new head coach Chandrakant Pandit, as the former stalwart Brendon McCullum has been dethrown from the position. KKR was in a hunt for a new coach for their side as McCullum is predicted to be resigned after he takes over the baton of  England’s head coach position. 

Chandrakant pandit is a popular name in the domestic cricket of India, he recently helped the side of Madhya Pradesh to win their maiden Ranji trophy title. Making good communication and flourishing a healthy competitive environment in the team are few specialties of Pandit. KKR has given the update about the appointment of a new head coach on the official Twitter handle of Kolkata knight riders.

The CEO Venky Mysore has congratulated the new face and also warmly welcomed him in the Knight riders family. When media personnel asked Chandrakant pandit about his reaction after this big break in his coaching career then he said, “It’s a great honor and privilege to be given this responsibility. I have heard from players and others who have been associated with the Knight Riders, about the family culture, as well as the tradition of success that has been created.

“I am excited about the quality of the support staff and the players who are part of the setup and I am looking forward to this opportunity with all humility and positive expectations. We are very excited that Chandu is joining the Knight Riders family to lead us through the next phase of our journey”. 

Later Pandit added,”His deep commitment to what he does and his track record of success in domestic cricket, is there for everyone to see. We are looking forward to his partnership with our skipper Shreyas Iyer, which promises to be an exciting one”.
