Overseas players are an integral element of every Indian Premier League squad. A team can have up to eight abroad players in their squad, with only four eligible to play in the starting 11. Given the great value that overseas players offer to the IPL, it’s no wonder that teams make significant investments in them.
The two biggest wages in IPL history were awarded to two overseas players during the IPL 2023 Auction. While PBKS paid INR 18.5 crore for Sam Curran, Chennai Super Kings paid INR 17.5 crore for Ben Stokes. But how do the abroad players for all ten teams look? So, let’s have a peek at the IPL 2023 team rankings based on abroad players.
Teams are rated based on their cumulative player ratings to assist us in arriving at the ranking. Players are graded relative to the best players in their respective categories, including as openers, middle order, finishers, all-rounders, pacers, and spinners. All players’ ratings are based on their IPL performance over the previous three years, as well as their current International or Domestic form.
