IND vs AFG: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected the teams for the only Test against Afghanistan to be played on June 6 and the three ODIs to be played starting from June 14. The regular captain Shubman Gill will lead the two squads, whereas KL Rahul has been named vice-captain of the Test squad and Shreyas Iyer the vice-captain of the ODI squad.
After the announcement of the squads, the biggest news is that Rishabh Pant has been left out of the ODI squad once again, while Ishan Kishan has made his way back into the ODI side after being away from it for quite some time.
Apart from that, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been included in the ODI squad, along with Hardik Pandya, who missed the 2026 IPL season. Nonetheless, Rohit and Hardik’s inclusion in the ODI squad is conditional on their fitness.
