First Player To Hit 100 Sixes Before 20 Years Of Age: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is making new records and breaking them whenever he goes out to bat. He did this on May 9th, in the IPL 2026,  when he was batting against the Gujarat Titans. At that time Vaibhav set one of the biggest records in T20 cricket: One that any player in history had never done before.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been playing at least very well in the IPL 2026 season. He had an excellent performance against the Gujarat Titans, as he scored 36 runs off only 16 balls (3 fours & 3 sixes). He made history during this outstanding inning, and he has written a new chapter in cricket history.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Becomes the First Player in T20 Cricket to Hit 100 Sixes in the Fewest Number of Balls

Since T20s had started, there have been a lot of great players, but 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has set a new record that no one has set before as a young T20 cricketer.

While playing against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur, Vaibhav smashed a six off the first ball he faced. Therefore, he now holds the record for the fastest century of sixes (in balls faced) in T20 cricket. He broke this record after only 514 balls. Prior to this record being broken, it was held by Kieron Pollard (West Indies) with 843 balls needed to reach 100 sixes.

As of now Vaibhav Sooryavanshi , has reached two notable milestones in T20 cricket. He is now recognized as the first player in T20 cricket history to have reached 100 sixes before turning 20 years old. In addition, Vaibhav has also accomplished a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the only player to have hit 30 or more sixes in a single IPL season solely within the first six overs of the innings.

With respect to Vaibhav’s T20 career statistics overall, thus far he has amassed 1,141 runs at an average of 40.75 in 29 innings/29 matches and faced 529 balls enabling him to score 4 centuries and 3 half centuries with his bat. In addition to this, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has shown his power hitting ability by hitting a total of 102 sixes and 91 fours.
