The Indian women’s team has just recently won its first international trophy, having captured the ODI World Cup in 2025. They are now looking to add another trophy to their collection by winning the ICC T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur.

The team is very motivated and prepared to succeed this year and has been very close on several occasions to winning the T20 World Cup in prior years.

In the ongoing five-match series against South Africa, India secured a 14-run victory in the fourth match. Although the series title has already slipped out of their grasp, the team is now keen to regain its momentum by winning the final match. India is scheduled to play the fifth and final T20 match of the series in Benoni on April 27.

Following this, the team will return to India before departing for a tour of England, where they will undertake their final preparations ahead of the World Cup. In England, the Indian team will play a three-match T20 series a fixture considered vital for acclimatizing to the local conditions before the start of the major tournament.
