There were also 6 ties and 15 draws throughout Dhoni’s career with the India cricket team.

2. Ricky Ponting: 324 Matches

Securing the second spot on this list is the legendary former captain of the Australian cricket team, Ricky Ponting. He first took charge of the Australian team in 2002, and his final stint as captain occurred in 2012.

During this span, he captained the Australian team in a total of 324 international matches. Under his leadership, the “Kangaroos” secured victory in 220 matches, while suffering defeat in only 77 matches. Meanwhile, two of his matches ended in a tie, and 13 matches concluded in a draw.

3. Stephen Fleming: 303 Matches

Ranked third on this list is the former captain of the New Zealand cricket team, Stephen Fleming. He first assumed the captaincy of the New Zealand team in 1997. He was last seen leading the Kiwi team in 2007.

During this period, he captained the Kiwi team in a total of 303 matches. Of these, his team secured victory in 128 matches, while facing defeat in 135 matches. Additionally, two of his matches ended in a tie, and 25 matches concluded in a draw.

4. Graeme Smith: 286 Matches

Ranked fourth on this list is the former captain of the South African cricket team, Graeme Smith. He first captained the Proteas in 2003, and his final appearance as captain came in 2014.

Over this span, he led the South African team in a total of 286 international matches. Under his captaincy, the South African team achieved victory in 163 matches, while suffering defeat in 89 matches. Furthermore, one match ended in a tie, and 27 matches concluded in a draw.
