Let’s talk about the team owners of the Hundred in the sixth edition of the league

Birmingham Phoenix

Team Owners: Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Knighthead Capital Management

49% stake in the team is owned by Knighthead Capital Management, an American investment group, while the remaining 49% is with the Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Birmingham Phoenix is one of the four teams with no kind of investment by an Indian group.

London Spirit

Team Owners: Marylebone Cricket Club and Tech Titans

The second, which is not owned by an Indian business group, happens to be the London Spirit. The team is partly owned by American group Tech Titans, 49% to be precise, while the Marylebone Cricket Club owns the majority stake, which is 51%.

Manchester Super Giants

Team Owners: RPSG Sports Pvt. Ltd. and Lancashire Cricket Club

The RPSG group that owns the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and the Durban Super Giants in SA20 owns 70% stake in The Hundred in the team bassed out of Manchester, which was originally known as Manchester Originals. The RPSG group changed the name of the team after its acquisition and added Super Giants to it in place of Orignals in order to be in line with the teams that the group owns in other leagues. The remaining 30% share is with the Lancashire Cricket Club.

Sunrisers Leeds

Team Owner: Sun Group

Sunrisers Leeds, who have been in the news for picking a Pakistani player, given that the team is owned by an Indian group, Sun Group, which also operates the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

MI London

Team Owner: Reliance Industries Limited, Surrey County Cricket Club

MI London, as the name suggests, is owned by the Reliance Industries Limited, who have a 49% share and also operates the Mumbai Indians, MI Cape Town, MI New York and MI Emirates in four different leagues. The majority stake in the team remains with Surrey County Cricket Club.

Southern Brave

Team Owners: Hampshire Cricket Club and GMR Group

South Brave is owned by the GMR group, who own the Delhi Capitals in the IPL in partnership with Hampshire Cricket Club.

Trent Rockets

Team Owners: Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and Cain International

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and Cain International are the owners of Trent Rockets.

Welsh Fire

Team Owners: Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Sanjay Govil

Sanjay Govil, an Indian- American enterpreneur who owns a team in Major League Cricket along with Glamorgan County Cricket Club, operates the Welsh Fire.
