Registering centuries in both innings, Pant not only made his name in the record books but also reached a career-high seventh spot in the ICC Test Batsmen Rankings with 801 rating points.
Rishabh Pant’s Twin Centuries Make History
During the Headingley test match against England, Rishabh Pant became the seventh Indian player to score centuries in both innings of a Test Match. He showed remarkable poise under pressure, which showed he was continuing to progress nicely as a world-class Test batter. As a result of his performance, Pant’s ICC ranking moved substantially higher in the ICC rankings to the highest place he has yet achieved.

Yashasvi Jaiswal remained steady at the fourth spot, continuing his brilliant form.
Shubman Gill jumped five positions to take the 20th spot after compiling a vital hundred.
KL Rahul leaped 10 spots, now placed at 38th, with a steady hundred that contributed to India’s strong totals.
Ben Duckett Enters Top 10 Following Match-Winning Knock

England opener Ben Duckett made big moves in the ICC Test Rankings. After his 62 and 149 in the Headingley Test and his Player of the Match award, Duckett jumped five spots up to eighth place with 787 rating points.
Other England Batters on the Rise
Joe Root and Harry Brook maintained their positions in first and second.
Ollie Pope, courtesy of his 106-run knock, gained three places to reach 19th.
Youngster Jamie Smith climbed eight spots to enter at 27th, following his unbeaten 44 in the final innings chase.
Jasprit Bumrah Retains Top Spot in ICC Test Rankings (Bowler)

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the ICC Test Bowler Rankings with 907 rating points, asserting his dominance in red-ball cricket.
But, while Ravindra Jadeja dropped three positions to 13th place in the bowling rankings, he maintained his No. 1 Test all-rounder ranking with 376 points.
England Bowlers on the Rise
Following a positive performance, Brydon Carse now occupies the 32nd position, jumping eight positions
Josh Tongue made the largest jump from 80th to 64th, a 16-position leap.
Ben Stokes Rises in All-Rounder Rankings
England skipper Ben Stokes jumped three places to fifth among Test all-rounders as England’s dominance in categories continued.
