After a dramatic near-miss in the qualifiers in Pakistan, the West Indies women’s side did not progress to the 2025 World Cup. In an attempt to rebuild and hit the reset button, CWI has made two changes to the 15-member squad ahead of the England series.

Replacements: Rashada Williams (wicketkeeper-batter), Chinelle Henry (all-rounder)

Head Coach Shane Deitz: “Let Our Performance Do the Talking”

Speaking before the tour, head coach Shane Deitz stressed the need to support talk with performances.

Traveling to England is a great chance to face one of the world’s top teams. The trash talk is cheap off the pitch; we’re going to take that trash talk on the pitch and go out against England and play some good cricket,” Deitz said.

He was optimistic about the T20I part of the tour, emphasizing the fact that the side has played better in the shortest version of the game in the last 12–18 months. Deitz feels that the tour is a good opportunity for the West Indies team to reclaim its reputation as a world-class team.
