IPL 2025: The MI vs RCB match in the 2025 IPL took place on Monday, April 7th, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 12 runs.
RCB got off to a rough start with Phil Salt being dismissed in the first over. However, Virat Kohli (67) and Devdutt Padikkal (37) took control, smashing the ball all over the field and putting on a 91-run partnership for the second wicket. Captain Rajat Patidar also played an explosive innings, scoring 64 runs. He added 48 runs with Kohli and later, a 69-run partnership with Jitesh Sharma (40*). Thanks to these contributions, RCB posted a huge total of 221 runs.

Mumbai Indians had another poor start to their innings. Rohit Sharma (17) and Ryan Rickelton (17) were both dismissed early, leaving Mumbai at 38 for 2. Will Jacks (22) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) tried to recover with a 41-run partnership for the third wicket, but Mumbai were soon 99 for 4.
However, Tilak Varma (56) and Hardik Pandya (42) played some incredible shots, adding 89 runs off just 34 balls. This gave Mumbai hope, but both were out in quick succession. Needing 19 runs from the last over, Krunal Pandya picked up three quick wickets to seal the win for RCB, who won by 12 runs.
