The UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals will go head-to-head for the sixth match of the WPL 2025. UPW are in the last position at the points table having played and lost one match against Gujrat Giants and it doesn’t seem to be the debut Deepti Sharma was expected as a captain.
Interestingly enough, Delhi Capitals will also try to chase victory for a much-needed comeback after losing the previous match to RCBW by 8 wickets. Both teams could win this match as they both seek redemption, so let’s take a look at the details.
Match Details of UPW vs DCW
UPW vs DCW is the sixth match of the tournament and is set to take place on 18 February 2025 at 7:30 PM IST. The game is scheduled to be played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara and will also be the last match to be played here as the tournament shifts to the next venue. It will be available for live streaming on Sports18/Star Sports Network and JioHotstar.
UPW vs DCW: Pitch and Weather Report
The pitch at the Kotambi Stadium is expected to be neutral as it will assist the early bowlers but also ease out the batters in the latter half. A total of 150-160 runs is expected and the weather conditions will be pleasant with no signs of rain. Temperatures will range from 20°C to 28°C making an ideal environment for the game. Both teams will be looking for their first win after suffering defeats in the previous matches.
Who Will Win UPW vs DCW
Based on the last four matches of both teams, Delhi Capitals definitely has the upper hand having won three out of four matches, however, UP Warriorz did win the last one in March 2024. Meg Lanning’s experience as a captain is a plus point for the team, as for UPW they’ll aim for a slow wicket that obstructs the opponent’s batting.
Winning the toss could be critical as the pitch is expected to be easier for chasing. DCW has a higher probability of winning but UPW could also turn the match to their side if they get to bowl first.
