
In the T20i series between IND vs BAN, India registered its second win and 7th consecutive home series win in the T20i format.
Nitish Kumar Reddy wrote the script of Bangladesh’s defeat by taking two wickets in bowling after playing a stormy innings of 74 runs in 34 balls with the bat. In reply to India’s 221 runs, the visitors were able to score only 135 runs for 9 wickets.
After winning the Test series, India has now defeated Bangladesh in the T20 series as well. After conquering the fort of Delhi by 86 runs, India now has an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match T20 series. India had won the first match of the series by seven wickets. The third and last match will be played in Hyderabad on October 12, which will be a matter of prestige for Bangladesh, so the Indian team would like to clean sweep it by winning it as well.
Reddy scored 74 runs and also took two wickets in IND vs BAN
The second match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will be remembered for Nitish Kumar Reddy (74 runs in 34 balls) and Rinku Singh (53 runs in 29 balls). Reddy also took two wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Earlier, Reddy along with Rinku rescued the team from a difficult situation and shared a 108-run partnership in 49 balls for the fourth wicket to take India’s score to 221/9.
This is the first time in the history of T20 that Team India has tried seven bowlers in a match, interestingly, all of them got wickets, in this way, the Bangladeshi Tigers could score only 135 runs in 20 overs after losing nine wickets.
Seven bowlers bowled for India in IND vs BAN
Mahmudullah, who is playing his last international series in this format for Bangladesh, contributed the most with 41 runs, he hit three sixes in his 39-ball innings. After doing wonders with the bat, Reddy also took two wickets. Varun Chakravarthy also got two successes.
Chasing the target, Parvez Hussain Emon (16 runs in 12 balls) made an aggressive start by hitting three fours in Arshdeep’s first over, but this bowler bowled him in his next over and gave India the first success. Bangladesh’s score in the powerplay was 43 runs for three wickets. Reddy, who came to bowl in the 18th over, dismissed Tanjim Hasan and took his first wicket in international cricket, after which he dismissed Mahmudullah.
Rinku scored a fifty, Hardik’s bat also performed in IND vs BAN
Nitish Kumar Reddy, playing his second T20 International, hit four fours and seven brilliant sixes in his innings, while Rinku hit five fours and three sixes. Hardik Pandya scored 32 runs in 19 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes, while Riyan Parag scored 15 runs in six balls with the help of two sixes. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed bowled brilliantly and took two wickets for just 16 runs in four overs. Tanjim Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman also got two wickets each but both were quite expensive. Rishad Hussain took three wickets for 55 runs.
