The second person on the list of this record is another spinner from Sri Lanka. Ajantha Mendis secured the second position by taking 15 wickets in total. He played four matches for the team in 2012. The batters were unable to understand the waves of Mendis and his surprises would leave them stunned. Mendis is often given credit for helping Sri Lanka win the World Cup as well. In only 6 matches, he took 15 wickets and is often accounted as the best bowler that the cricket world has seen.
Dirk Nannes took 14 Wickets (2010 World Cup)
Although Dirk Nannes started his career as a bowler in the Netherlands, he soon became a part of the Australian team. He played on behalf of the team in the 2010 T20 World Cup and took 14 wickets in the tournament. He gets the third place in the list of records and brings respect to his team with his contributions. Nannes was also the leading wicket taker of the tournament that year. His economy rate and skills were highly appreciated.
