Meanwhile, the Mumbai batter confirmed that he has already formed the team for the game against Pakistan. The opening batter added the players has received the information about their participation. Talking about the rationale for such an early call, the Indian skipper said, it is to help them prepare early for the big game.

The skipper said he does not believe in the idea of creating a team at the last minute. As a result, he endorsed the idea of deciding on the team early and practicing accordingly.
How India may surprise Pakistan?

India is unlikely to take any surprise calls in the game against Pakistan. There are two or three selection questions in front of the team. One is about playing two spinners from the experienced Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin, and Axar Patel. Gujarati spinner Axar is a certain starter for his current form. However, it is a challenging call between Ashwin and Chahal.

As per the latest indications, Dinesh Karthik has gotten the nod ahead of Rishabh Pant to play as wicketkeeper. Pant’s performance in the warm-up games has been disappointing. The remaining chance is to play him at number 5 and Karthik at 7. It remains to be seen whether Rohit makes such a move to make room for Pant.
Will Mohammed Shami play?
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said he has not seen Shami after the pacer reached Australia. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshal Patel are likely to get the nod ahead in the first game. This is if the team goes ahead with the idea of game time.

However, Shami’s impressive record in ICC events and in Australia makes him a strong contender to take the spot of Harshal Patel or Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Meanwhile, team eleven is already formed, and fans will have to wait for a week to know who made the cut and who doesn’t.
