MS Dhoni Thinks Back: “My Father Thought That I Wasn’t Passing the 10th Board Exam”

Reflecting on the past, MS Dhoni said, “My Father Thought That I Am Not Passing the 10th Board Exam.”

During a conversation with young students at a school, MS Dhoni revealed his memories of his time in school. Even Dhoni acknowledged that his father had previously doubted that he would even pass the 10th board test.

MS Dhoni, one of the best cricket players ever, has received numerous awards for the nation over his illustrious career. While Dhoni went on to make his mark on cricket history, he did not perform as well in academics. A video of the Ranchi-born cricketer speaking to students at a school and sharing memories of his time as a student has surfaced on social media.

The renowned cricketer reminisced about his past, recounting stories of his academic achievements. Do sports count as subjects? On being questioned about his preferred subject, Dhoni responded. I was a typical student up until the beginning of my seventh-grade cricket season, at which point my attendance began to dwindle a little. I was a solid student other than that, though. I think I scored 66 or something percent in the tenth grade; I scored 56 or 57 percent in the 12.

“My attendance percentage was very low because I was playing all the time. I had it hard, but I was a typical student, so that’s what it was. In the Class 10 exams, there were chapters I had no idea about. In the event that a question was posed about that specific chapter, I would have been at a loss for words.

Superkings academy opened by CSK in Hosur (Tamil Nadu). As India’s first franchise-based Super Kings academy, the facility has been established at the MS Dhoni Global School.
