
The captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Rohit Sharma acknowledged the hard work of his team at their glorious victory on Sunday in the match between IND vs SA. He further cheered up as his team defeated South Africa, headed by Temba Bavuma by 16 runs.
When asked at the post-match presentation ceremony, Rohit Sharma appreciated the stunning performance of Suryakumar Yadav. On being questioned by Indian Cricket Commentator and Journalist, Harsha Bhogle; as to how the captain of Indian Cricket Team going to help Suryakumar Yadav to retain his form, he responded,
“Just thinking not to play him anymore. Just play him on 23rd. But no (seriously), the kind of form he is in… he is somebody who wants to play the game, who wants to keep going out there and keep doing well. That is what keeps him happy and we want to keep him happy”
Suryakumar Yadav produced an astonishing knock at the 2nd T20I against the team of South Africa. Suryakumar also became the third-fastest Indian to reach 1000 runs in T20Is. He managed to score 61 off 22 deliveries, being followed by a run out by the captain of South Africa, Temba Bavuma. Moreover, this 32-year-old cricketer is said to reach the four-figure mark in the shortest format of the game in his 31st innings. As per reports, he became the third-fastest Indian to reach 1000 runs in T20Is.
Besides him, the openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul made over a great start to the match while being asked to bat in the beginning.
The opposition players like David Miller and De Kock gave a tough competition to the team. David Miller took forward the match with his incredible performance, scoring 106 off 47 deliveries. While De Kock contributed to the match by scoring 69 off 48 deliveries.
Apart from everything, the team created history because of their glorious achievement on the 2nd T20I held at Guwahati. The team seem to have bounced back strong after the disappointment at the Asia Cup.
