The opening of the T20 against Australia is going to happen on Tuesday in Mohali. Meanwhile, team India attended the photoshoot wearing the newly-launched blue jersey. As known the BCCI and kit sponsors MPL Sports disclosed the new kit at a Mumbai event.
However, the new jersey will make its debut with the first of the three-match T20I series against the reigning World T20 Champions and will also be used in the T20 World Cup next month in Australia.
Well, now the players to have begun to flaunt it ahead of its official debut on the field. Again, the netizens are going mad over the looks of it. On Monday, the Indian cricket board shared a video of the photo shot in which Rohit Sharma & Co could be seen posing in front of the camera in the new kit.
Rohit, Virat, Hardik, Bhuvneshwar, Bumrah, Deepak Hooda, and Deepak Chahar, to name a few, could be seen standing in the new Team India jersey.
Speaking about the jersey, it is in shades of the iconic and fan-favorite blue colour. Termed ‘One Blue Jersey’, it will make its debut on the pitch during the first match of the upcoming T20 series against Australia on September 20. However, the new one replaces the Billion Cheers Jersey at all T20 International competitions. However, the players will proceed to sport the Billion Cheers Jersey in ODIs.
The jersey symbolizes the loyalty and value of game demands. It is blended with petals found in the BCCI’s official badge. The good news is that it will be available for purchase at the kit sponsor’s official website and all leading e-commerce and retail outlets.
Previously there have been pictures of a few jersey designs that have found their way to Twitter. However, alleging to be THE design that the BCCI, the Indian cricket team, and the official sponsors decided to go ahead with.
