The former opener Gautam Gambhir gave a shocking analysis over the T20 world cup winning equation for the Indian team. Rohit Sharma‘s leading team India recently got knocked out from the Asia Cup 2022. The teams like Sri Lanka and Hong Kong gave a bitter contest to India in the championship. If the Indian team has to keep the T20 World Cup in their pocket, then they have to beat the home team of Australia as per Gambhir. The Australian team will really have a golden chance to defend their trophy as they are playing in their home conditions.

His crucial knock of 97(122) was the biggest contribution in the victory of 2011 world cup for the Indian team. Also under his captaincy, Kolkata Knight Riders won two seasons of IPL. The opinion put forth by him regarding the Indian team seems to be true after looking at all the factors. Australia no doubt will be the favourites and the strongest team in the tournament and if any other nation has two win the trophy, then beating the home team becomes the first condition.
This is the same thing that happened in the 2011 world cup where not a single team could beat India in the knockouts of the tournament. In the 2007 T20 World Cup India beat South Africa to win the trophy which was the host nation for the tournament. Few names like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will have to give enormous contribution with their respective arsenals on the field.
Wild Gautam Gambhir said on Star Sports that, “I have said this earlier, and I am saying this again. India cannot win World Cup if they do not beat Australia. I mean look at the 2007 T20 World Cup, we defeated them in the semi-finals. In the 2011 ODI World Cup, we thrashed them in the quarterfinals. Australia is one of the most competitive teams out there and you will have to beat them if you want to win any competition”.
