Despite retiring from international cricket, Meg Lanning will continue her involvement in the sport. She is set to play for Melbourne Stars in the WBBL and Victoria in the WNCL, in addition to representing Delhi Capitals in the WPL.
Meg’s final appearance for Australia occurred as she led the team to another Women’s T20 World Cup title in South Africa in February of this year. Her return to the game in January was marked by this triumph, following a period of 18 months away from cricket due to various reasons, during which she found it challenging to muster the motivation to continue playing. Notably, she also missed participating in the Women’s Ashes due to an undisclosed medical issue.
