“Tough Times Don’t Last, But Tough People Do”: Ab de Villiers Shared a Mesmerizing Message for Asia Cup Winning Sri-Lankan Team

The former South African captain AB de Villiers shared an inspiring post on his official Twitter handle for the young Sri Lankan players who recently won the Asia Cup 2022.

The former South African Capitan and 360° cricketer Ab de Villiers shared a few emotional words on his official Twitter handle for the young Sri Lankan team that conquered the Asian continent in the recently concluded event of Asia Cup 2022. The Dasun Shanaka team defeated the big sides of the geographical sphere like India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was their 6th Asia Cup title since the start of the championship. It is also the second highest Asia Cup winning team after India and Pakistan.

AB de Villiers further mentioned that he understands that Sri Lanka is going through really tough economic and financial conditions and then complemented the young Sri Lankan players for knocking their 6th title victory in the Asia Cup 2022. Along with this, there were many other star players like Kusal Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga and Bhanuka Rajapaksa who played valiantly and excelled at their respective skill sets to steal victory from the jaws of defeat.

In the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, this team is anticipated to exceed expectations and perform unlike any other Asian team did on the Australian soil, in the past. The kind of capability, skill and proficiency that a team must have to win matches in Australia, that is already present in the Asia Cup winning-Sri Lanka team. They have nippy fast bowlers like Dilshan Madhushanka and Chamika Karunaratne along with the mystery spinners Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana. They will have a big responsibility on their shoulders to showcase magnificent performances in the T20 World Cup 2022 for their team.
