Rajasthan Royals partners with DCCI to host 3rd National Disability T20 Cricket Championship

Rajasthan Royals, an IPL franchise, joins hands with the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) to organize the 3rd National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship from September 28 to October 8 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Royals, a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has revealed that they are teaming up with the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) to host the 3rd National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship. This exciting tournament will take place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, from September 28 to October 8.

This event is made possible with the support of the charitable organization Narayan Seva Sansthan. What’s really special about this championship is that it’s aiming to set a world record recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. It’s set to be the largest cricket tournament for physically disabled cricketers, featuring over 400 talented Divyang Cricketers representing 24 State Physically Disabled Cricket Teams from across India.

The 24 State teams will be grouped into four sets of six teams each. The top teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, and the winners will compete in an exciting final match. Teams will have the opportunity to win cash prizes, with the ultimate champions receiving a prestigious rolling trophy.

A total of 63 matches will be played over 11 days at four venues in the beautiful city of Udaipur, including the Field Club Cricket Ground, MBA Cricket Ground, BN University Cricket Ground and NSS Cricket Ground.

Jake Lush McCrum, Chief Executive Officer of Rajasthan Royals, expressed their commitment to supporting the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India. He highlighted the positive impact their contributions had on players during last year’s Wheelchair Cricket Championship and their desire to continue supporting the differently-abled community through such events.

Rajasthan Royals had previously collaborated with the apex body for differently-abled cricket to organize the 3rd National Wheelchair Cricket Championship in the same city from November 27 to December 3, 2022. Ravikant Chauhan, Member of BCCI Differently Abled Cricket Committee and General Secretary of Differently Abled Cricket Council of India, expressed gratitude for Rajasthan Royals’ continued support and assistance in promoting specially-abled cricket and the athletes associated with their organization.
