In the game second last game of Super-4 qualification stage between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022, the magic of young pacer ‘Naseem Shah’ came out as he slammed 2 big sixes to cross the line for Pakistan team in the cracker of a game, firstly Babar Azam choose to bowl by conquering the coin and also there bowlers bowled really well to restrict Afghanistan on the mediocre score of 129/6 (20.0).
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Hazratullah Zazai fell so early within the first 4 overs of the game which dented the track of Afghanistan batting line, also the combined bowling from Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz and Naseem Shah helped Pakistan in the first innings. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz went economical by clinching one wicket.
Later as the Pakistan batter came out to bat the out of form captain Babar Azam dismissed on his very fast ball of the knock and just after an over Fakhar Zaman got bizarrely run out by Hazratullah Zazai. Later Mohammed Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed tried to hold their nerves but a jafa from Rashid Khan took the wicket of Rizwan which put Pakistan under enormous pressure. Eventually Shadab Khan promoted up in the order and he paid off successfully by playing a camou of 36(26).

But at the end when Asif Ali got out and Pakistan were 9-wickets down then Naseem Shah, who made debut in the tournament in T20Is for Pakistan, slammed big sixes to Fazal Farooqui and helped his side to reach the grand finale of Asia Cup 2022.
