With 15 fours and seven sixes, Shaw finished with an undefeated 125 off 76 balls. He destroyed leg-spinner Scott Borthwick with two sixes and three fours off consecutive deliveries in a 24-run 21st over, effectively ending the game.
The 23-year-old had this week’s first double-hundred against Somerset. A number of List A cricket records were broken by his ferocious innings of 244 off 153, including the mark for the highest individual score in the history of the 50-over league.
