Last night in the third game of (Super 4) qualification stage in Asia Cup 2022, the mighty Sri-lankans defeated team India by 6 wickets which probably finished all the hopes of Rohit Sharma leading side to get qualify for the grand finale of the tournament, but along with this it also exposes some of the weakest links which is present in the Indian team. In the game where India failed to clinched wickets in the initial overs, also the finishers like Hardik Pandya, Rishabh pant and Deepak Hooda failed to capitalise the privilege of knocking in the death overs.
Now the two main reasons which could be said as the biggest contributors in India’6 defeat against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2022, are mention below in detail.
#1.Imperfect selection of Playing XI.

The wrong selection of playing-11 for both the games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka played the big role in the defeat of Indian side in the first game of Super4 against Pakistan, in the game India brought Deepak Hooda at the place of Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh pant at the place of Dinesh Karthik both decisions were made to fulfill the batting absence of Ravindra Jadeja but instead of giving place to Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel would be the best pick for the game.

As he provides miser left arm bowling along with similar knocking ability same as Deepak Hooda.
#2. False thought of using ‘Hardik Pandya’ as proper 5th bowler.
The star finisher Hardik Pandya was bowling pretty good since he made come back in the Indian team but still strategy of using him as a perfect fifth bowler in the team was very early to be improvised and also highly unreliable thing to do as in both the game against Pakistan and Sri Lanka he went for 30+ runs in spell without taking a single wicket.
If Axar Patel or Deepak chahar played as a proper 5th bowler and Pandey kept as 6th bowling option then the effectiveness of the bowling unit will at least double.
