The Indian star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja got ruled out from the ongoing tournament of Asia Cup 2022 due to sustaining a right knee injury which suddenly got to its peak and forced him to make himself unavailable for the remaining matches of the tournament. He played fantastic innings which ultimately helped the Indian team to clinch victory against Pakistan in the second group stage match of Asia Cup 2022.
Also Ravindra Jadeja bowled a fantastic spell against Hong Kong so his all round performance will definitely be missed by the Indian team in the further crucial matches. But one thing which can prove a compensating factor for Jadeja is the replacement of Axar Patel who will probably be in the playing 11 of team India in the further encounters.

Axar Patel delivered crucial performances for the side in the past few games in which he got a chance to show his potential, so it could be said that it’s a like-for-like replacement in the team. The official of BCCI gave this crucial update about the involvement of Ravindra Jadeja in the further games, he said, “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a right knee injury and is ruled out of the tournament”.

Later he added, “He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. His replacement, Axar Patel was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon”.
