ICC World Cup

Australia has won the ICC World Cup a record five times.
- In 1987, the Australian team defeated England in the World Cup finals by a margin of 7 runs. The game was placed in Calcutta’s Eden Gardens.
- They won it in 1999 after defeating Pakistan at Lord’s in London by an impressive 8 wickets.
- They won it in 2003, defeating India in the championship match by a score of 125 runs in Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium.

ICC Champions Trophy

- India is the only other nation to have won the Champions Trophy twice, along with the Australian squad.
- In 2006, Australia won the trophy for the first time after defeating the West Indies by 8 wickets at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
- In 2009, they won the Champions Trophy once more after defeating New Zealand at SuperSport Park in Centurion by a margin of six wickets.
ICC T20 World Cup

Only once, in 2021, has the Australian team won the ICC T20 World Cup. At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, they defeated New Zealand in the championship match by an 8-wicket margin.
ICC World Test Championship

Australia defeated India by 209 runs in the ICC World Test Championship final at London’s The Oval.
ICC Women’s World Cup

You may not be aware of the supremacy of the Australian Women’s team if you thought the Australian Men’s team dominated the ICC titles.
The women’s team has won the ICC Women’s World Cup the most times in history, much like their men’s team. Seven times have they taken home the trophy.
- At the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana), they defeated England by 8 wickets in the championship match to win the trophy for the first time that year.
- They won again in 1982, defeating England by three wickets in the championship game at Lancaster Park in Christchurch.
- In the finals of 1988, Australia defeated their bitter rivals England once more to clinch a hat-trick of victories. At Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia triumphed by an eight-wicket margin.
- When Australia overcame New Zealand in the championship match in 1997, they took home the trophy for the fourth time. At Eden Gardens in Calcutta, they triumphed by a margin of 5 wickets.
- At SuperSport Park in Centurion, they defeated India by 98 runs to win the championship in 2005.
- At Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, they defeated the West Indies by 114 runs to win the title in 2013.
- In 2022, they defeated England in the championship match to win the trophy for a record seventh time. At Christchurch’s Hagley Oval, they won the championship by 71 runs.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

- They are the team with the most ICC Women’s T20 World Cup victories. They have six victories over the trophy.
- The Australian Women’s Team won the trophy for the first time in 2010 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, where they defeated New Zealand by three runs in the finals.
- At R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, they defeated England by 4 runs in the 2012 championship match.
- At the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, they defeated England in the 2014 finals and took home the trophy by a margin of six wickets.
- In the finals, they defeated England for the third time in a row in 2014 to win a hat-trick of championships. At North Sound’s Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, they triumphed by an 8-wicket margin.
- At Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia, they won the trophy after six years when they defeated India by 85 runs in the finals.
- At Cape Town’s Newlands Cricket Ground in February of this year, they defeated South Africa by a score of 19 runs to claim the trophy.
Commonwealth Games
In 2022, cricket made its Commonwealth Games debut. Women’s T20 cricket was the vehicle. Australia defeated India by 9 runs to win the gold medal.
ICC Under-19 World Cup

- Three times, Australia has won the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
- Australia won the Under-19 World Cup for the first time in 1988 after defeating Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval by a margin of five wickets in the championship match.
- At the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln, they defeated South Africa in the finals in 2002 by a margin of seven wickets.
- Australia defeated Pakistan by 25 runs in the 2010 final at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln.
ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup
Australia has only failed to win the Women’s Under-19 World Cup, the sole ICC title. India won the Women’s Under-19 World Cup in 2023 by defeating England at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom by a margin of seven wickets.
