Indian head coach Rahul Dravid beats Covid-19, all set to join India team at Dubai

The Indian head coach Rahul Dravid completely recovered from the Covid-19 infection and now he is all set to join the Indian team at the Dubai camp for the whole tournament of Asia Cup 2022, earlier the BCCI appointed the NCA head VVS Laxman as the interim coach of team India for the Asia Cup tournament, but as Rahul Dravid unexpectedly recovered soon then he will again replace Laxman as the permanent head coach.

The Indian team will be playing against Pakistan in their first game of the championship, so at that time there is a doubt whether Rahul Dravid will be there to mentor the team or not but in the rest of the matches after he will definitely stand out there to guide the Indian side.

The update regarding head coach Dravid given by the BCCI secretary Jay Shah in a short press release, he said, “Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested negative for COVID-19 and has joined the team in Dubai. Interim coach, Mr VVS Laxman who was present with the team in Mr. Dravid’s absence, has returned to Bengaluru to oversee the India A programme”.

Later Shah added, “Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested positive for COVID-19 in a routine test conducted ahead of the team’s departure to the UAE for Asia Cup 2022. Dravid is under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team and has mild symptoms. He will join the team once he returns with a negative COVID-19 report”.
