New Zealand was awarded $1.6 million after defeating India by eight wickets in a rain-soaked six-day World T20 final in Southampton. The Kiwis, however, did not make the finals this time, finishing sixth in the cycle with four victories in 13 games.

South Africa will receive $450,000 for placing third in the 2021-23 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) standings. England, which won several games at the finish, will receive $350,000. Sri Lanka, one of the teams vying to play in the finals until their series loss to New Zealand, finished fifth and will get $200,000.

The remaining teams are New Zealand (No.6), Pakistan (No.7), the West Indies (No.8), and Bangladesh (No.9), who will each receive $100,000.

Meanwhile, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting has reminded Pat Cummins and company that Virat Kohli has returned to form, which bodes well for the opposition.

Kohli was in excellent form throughout the IPL 2023, scoring 639 runs in 14 matches while averaging over 50 and scoring two centuries.
