All three matches between UAE and WI will take place at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium and will be played during the day. Each match in the series will begin at 6:00 pm (IST)
Other than the two official warm-up games, this series will be the West Indies’ only competitive cricket until the World Cup Qualifier event, which begins on June 18 in Zimbabwe.
Other than a three-match series in South Africa in March, the West Indies have played very little ODI cricket this year, so this series will be crucial in terms of settling details and preparations ahead of the Cricket World Cup in India in October.
The UAE has not yet released its team; however, the West Indies have announced their 15-man touring squad. Shai Hope will captain the team and wear the gloves, while top-order batter Brandon King will serve as vice-captain.
The rest of the batting lineup is Shamarh Brooks, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Kavem Hodge, Keemo Paul, Raymon Reifer, and Devon Thomas, while the bowlers include Akeem Jordan, Yannic Cariah, Dominic Drakes, Gudakesh Motie, and Odean Smith.
The UAE recently made an impression by reaching the final of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. Nepal, on the other hand, knocked them out for 117 and chased down the mark in 30.3 overs.
