
Pakistan’s greatest female cricketers will compete in the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament 2022-23 beginning on Friday, May 19, in Karachi. The competition has been intended to provide these cricketers with as many opportunities as possible, and will be played in two iterations: the first will have four teams playing T20 matches on a round-robin system, and the second will feature three teams playing one-day matches on a double round-robin format, with the final on June 4th.
Under the banner of Strikers, the first phase of the event will see probables for the ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, which will be held in Hong Kong in June, demonstrate their talents, talent, and gain the necessary match practice in tough conditions. Fatima Sana, Pakistan’s star fast bowler, will lead the team.
The other three teams are the Blasters, led by Muneeba Ali, Pakistan’s sole T20I century batter, the Challengers, led by left-arm orthodox Sadia Iqbal, and the Dynamites, led by right-handed top-order batter Sidra Amin.
These six T20 matches will be played at Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre Oval Ground and State Bank Ground from May 19 to 21.
Blasters, Challengers, and Dynamites will compete in the 50-over competition beginning on May 23. The three teams will play each other twice before the final at the State Bank Ground, which will be live streamed on the PCB YouTube account.
In accordance with its philosophy of rewarding high performers, the winning team will receive PKR 1 million, while the runners-up will receive PKR500,000. The winner of the match award will receive PKR 20,000, and the champion of the tournament will receive PKR50,000.
