In the T20 World Cup 2022, many teams will have special X-Factor or impactful players which could single handedly change the game. These players are majorly attacking in their playing approach, as T20 format is the game of aggression. It is also a requisite for every selection committee to at least keep one such X-Factor player in their squad. In India, Hardik Pandya is an all-rounder who could shift gears in batting and bowling also. While in heavyweights like Australia and South Africa, Glenn Maxwell and David Miller could prove impactful for their respective teams.
But below are the top three names from all 10 teams participating, which could win the T20 world cup for their team on the basis of their single-handed performance.
#1. Asif Ali (Pak)
Asif Ali was the specialist T20 finisher of the Pakistani cricket team. He was only placed in the team for his amazing six hitting ability. He will probably form the finishing pair with Mohammed Rizwan or Shadab Khan in the T20 World Cup. If any team has to win the World T20 tournament, then the role of X-factors like Asif Ali will have to be planned properly.
#2. Bhanuka Rajapaksa (SL)
The Southpaw batsman of the Sri-Lankan team, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, will play a crucial role in this upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. in the final of Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan, he lifted the team from 67/5 (10.0) to 170/6 (20.0) after playing a vital knock of 71*(45). Rajapaksa will play along with the skipper the Dasun Shanaka in the middle order position of the team.
#3. Jasprit Bumrah (Ind)
Jasprit Bumrah is the only bowler added into this list of X-factor players. On the bouncy wickets of Australia, Bumrah will have a dual role to play for the Indian team. He will have to extract initial wickets of the opposition with the new ball and with the old ball he will have to do miser bowling in the death overs. It will also be interesting to see how he will make a comeback for the team after missing out on international cricket for the past couple of weeks.
