The former Indian captain MS Dhoni was known for his cool head in world cricket, when he used to play for the Indian team he is among the best captains which registered their name in the golden book of cricket. After MS Dhoni only Ricky Ponting is the guy who is well ahead of him in terms of significant achievements for his side. In the IPL it is the only man MS Dhoni who made a major contribution in carving the Chennai Super Kings as the most eminent franchise of the whole tournament whom even the overseas cricket folks know very well.
So, here are the top three coolest moments of MS Dhoni which came out on the most occasions for India.
#1. 2011 World Cup Final.
In the 2011 world cup MS Dhoni had the major contribution to get the trophy in the pocket of the Indian team, in the second innings while team India was chasing the total of 275-runs the two openers Virendra Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar fell very early. From there MS Dhoni came out to bat at top order and stitched the fabulous partnership with the opener Gautam Gambhir and finished the game in style by hitting big six on long on over the ball of Nuwan Kulasekara.
#2. 2013 Champions Trophy Final.
In the final of 2013 Champions trophy in which India was the champion, MS Dhoni bowled out on a score of zero but still no one could have imagined that India would defend a small total of 130 runs in the luxury of 20 overs for England. In the first innings due to poor batting team India scored only 129/7, but later the bowling rotation and the field placement of MS Dhoni had the big hand in successfully restricting the side of England just six runs before the target.
The bright move of bringing Ishant Sharma in the penultimate over was the turning point of the game where the two set batsmen Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler had to depart on the balls of Sharma. If both batter stayed up on the crease then England will surely take the trophy to their home.
#3. Ind vs Eng 2nd ODI (2017).
In the second one day international match against England where Virat Kohli was first time leading the Indian side in the limited overs format the English bowlers ripped through the top order of India as the three wickets of India fell on just the score of 24.
After the dismissal of Rohit, Shikhar and Kohli, the veteran MS Dhoni along with Yuvraj Singh stammed the partnership of 259 runs which included the tenth and last International century of MS Dhoni.
And from 3/25 India made a mountainous total of 381/6 after 50-overs, where Yuvraj Singh also played a knock of 150 runs to take out the Indian team from a catastrophe.
