3 Finest Knocks By Ayush Badoni In IPL

Here are Ayush Badoni’s three best innings in the IPL

Rain ruined the match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Wednesday, May 3. With both teams sharing a point, LSG moved up to second position in the IPL points table, while CSK is on third.

LSG were at a challenging 125/7 in 19.2 overs after batting first on the turning surface at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The hosts were battling at 44/5 in 9.4 overs when Ayush Badoni came in to save the innings. He made an undefeated 59 off 33 deliveries.

In an innings of great poise and skill, Badoni hit two fours and four sixes. Badoni took his time before accelerating on a surface where the ball was turning square. When other batters were struggling to even rotate the strike, he played some spectacular shots. The kid, who made his debut last season, has often demonstrated his talent and technique.

Here are Ayush Badoni’s three best innings in the IPL:

#1 LSG vs GT, IPL 2022 (Ayush Badoni – 54 runs off 41 balls)

Ayush Badoni made an impression on his and LSG’s IPL debut with a superb knock that displayed his sound technique and solid composure. LSG were humbled to 29/4 in 4.3 overs while batting first, with KL Rahul, Evin Lewis, Quinton de Kock, and Manish Pandey all out.

LSG appeared dazzled by the magnitude of the occasion and the caliber of the opposition bowlers – Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson, and Rashid Khan.

Badoni (54 runs off 41 balls) struck a magnificent half-century, absorbing up the early pressure and then accelerating to help his team reach a fighting total of 158/6. In his knock, he hit four boundaries and three maximums at a strike rate of 131.71.

Badoni had a bittersweet day because, despite his heroics, LSG lost the game in the final over.

#2 LSG vs RCB, IPL 2023 (Ayush Badoni – 30 runs off 24 balls)

After scoring half-centuries from Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran, LSG, chasing 213, appeared to be winning. However, with 24 runs still needed, Pooran lost his wicket at the conclusion of the 17th over.

The final recognized batter was Ayush Badoni, and RCB had Harshal Patel and Wayne Parnell to bowl the final three overs. Badoni maintained his composure and moved his team closer to the victory. With 206 on the board after 18.4 overs, he was extremely unlucky to be out hit-wicket after sweeping the ball to the boundary.

After Badoni was dismissed, LSG lost two more wickets, but they still made the required run off the final delivery of the innings.

#3 CSK vs LSG, IPL 2022 (Ayush Badoni – 19* runs off 9 balls)

Ayush Badoni demonstrated his ability to finish in just his second IPL game. In the final two overs, with 34 runs needed, he scored 14 runs off four balls, including two beautiful maximums. Shivam Dube, a medium-pacer, hit a sweep shot for the first six, then a hook shot over deep fine-leg for the second. With three balls remained, LSG had a six-wicket victory.

KL Rahul, the captain, praised Badoni’s catch during the post-game ceremony. The most outstanding aspect of his inning was how quickly he settled in the middle, which is the ideal trait for a finisher.
